While each social media managers would have slightly different workflow, it would be great to hear and learn from someone who has been working in the industry for years! Nadine Burton in her channel The Social Shells has introduced 9 tools, including Chatgpt for content ideas generation, video editing tools like Capcut, social media scheduling tool such as Metricool, Planoly and more! Watch this video below if you are interested to find out more!

Google Sheets

As we all know, Social Media Agency is mostly location-independent and this makes having a good team collaboration tool a good investment. Google sheets is a spreadsheet program provided by Google for free. Many social media agencies run their business on Google Sheets, from planning content for their clients to tracking client account growth, creating invoice PDF and more!

If you are not nerdy like me, don't worry! There are many templates out there to help social media managers to set up these tools pretty quick without technical knowledge.

Alternatively, you could also get these spreadsheets trackers and planners from our store. We have these ready-made templates in our Social Media Management Essentials collection that you can grab for a very budget-friendly price.

Facebook Business Suite

If your client is active on both Instagram and/or Facebook, this app is non-negotiable. Not only it can help you schedule carousel posts (which usually have a higher engagement rate on Instagram); but it can also help you schedule stories and videos so you can stay consistent on the posting schedule.

However, this tool does not support scheduling Instagram reels at the moment. No worries, keep reading, we have a solution for that!

Google Calendar

Calendar App is best to use together with Facebook Business Suite.

The short-form video is the most favourited form of content by social media algorithms, especially on Instagram in the year 2022. As you may already be aware, the video scheduling feature is very limited in most Instagram post scheduling tools.

Hence, you'll need a calendar app that has the feature to push notifications to remind you on posting online at a specific date-time.

Inshot: Free Video Editor

Inshot is a video editor that most digital creators and social media management companies love to include in their video editing toolkit! Not only it's free to download and use on both Apple and Android phones, but it's also super intuitive for any video editing beginners!

Bit.ly: URL Shortener

Bit.ly is a free online social media marketing tool to shorten your URL link. When it comes to social media links, it needs to be memorable so people can easily remember and type it into their browser instantly. This is especially important if you want to stay on-brand and professional on social media.

If you compare the below URL links, which one would you prefer?

1) www.bitly.com/danalyser-freebie

2) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AWVJQlp1EjNMMvPDWz4QpcqQ97Nc9TVx7KhrTlF6Qlq/edit?usp=sharing

I would definitely choose the shorter link as it looks way cleaner. With Bitly, you get 50 bit.ly links for free every month.

With the free plan, you can also get access to your URL links analytics. From the Links Analytics Dashboard, you can gain insights into the top country viewers that visited your page using the link, the traffic sources and the trend analysis.

Grammarly: Free Grammar Checker

Writing a good caption and headlines is a must-have skill for every social media manager. If you are not a native English speaker, it would be great to use this free writing app to check your spelling and grammar prior to posting it in front of millions of people.

Grammarly is a cloud-based typing assistant that majority of the businesses love to use in their writing for social media posts and copywriting.
